Apple Inc. changed its App Store rules last week to limit how developers harvest, use and share information about iPhone owners’ friends and other contacts.

Apple is closing a technological loophole that let authorities hack into locked iPhones, infuriating law enforcement officials and reigniting a debate over security versus privacy.


The esteemed producer, actress, talk show host, philanthropist and CEO of OWN will create original programming as part of a unique partnership.

Layne Eskridge is joining Apple as a Creative Executive. She comes from rival streaming service Netflix where she served as a development executive.


On the surface, Shortcuts the app looks like the full-blown Workflow replacement heavy users of the app have been wishfully imagining for the past year. But there is more going on with Shortcuts than the app alone.

Apple badly needs to update the Mac lineup both now, and more consistently in the future.

Rather than being a modest update that focuses on under-the-hood improvements, iOS 12 could significantly change how you interact with your phone when it arrives later this year.
